Mean Girls is getting turned into a totally fetch mobile game

Building on the success of everything from Kim Kardashian: Hollywood to Clash Of Clans, Pocket Gems plans to turn Mean Girls into a mobile game. (There’s already a desktop game, Mean Girls: High School Showdown, based on the movie.) The choose-your-own-adventure style game will be penned by Legally Blonde screenwriter Kirsten Smith and Marcy Kelly. (The original movie was written by Tina Fey.) All the game’s action will take place after the movie ends, meaning Regina George will be more into lacrosse than Kälteen Bars. But players will be able to enroll in fictional North Shore High School as seniors and deal with cliques, classes, and clothes. As Pocket Gems’ Jameel Khalfan told The Hollywood Reporter, “What clothing you are wearing, what you do, the characters that you talk to—every choice you make will affect what happens in the story.” Just remember: On Wednesdays, we wear pink.
