Steve Adamyk Band crafts another hyperactive pop song, “Swallow You Whole”

With Graceland, Steve Adamyk Band’s fifth record, the Ottawa group makes a good case for staying the course. On July 29, Dirtnap Records will release Graceland, continuing the band’s tradition of writing sharp power-pop songs that share a framework but still feel distinct and urgent. The A.V. Club is premiering “Swallow You Whole” today, which sees the band ripping through another one of its jittery pop songs. Various songs on the album feature the vocal work of like-minded noisemakers Colleen Green and Mike Krol, helping make Graceland a joyous rush of hyperactive pop music that only gets more charming with each repeat listen.
