A&E developing reality show where celebrities come out of the closet
Publicist Howard Bragman, known around Hollywood as the “Coming Out Guru” for his help with easing celebrities like Meredith Baxter and country singer Chely Wright out of the closet, is developing a show for A&E that will find him doing the same for “multiple public figures.” At a recent “Coming Out In Hollywood” panel at this past weekend’s Outfest film festival, Bragman told the crowd that “if anyone knows a high-profile celebrity” who’s ready to tell the world that they’re gay, he has “a great TV opportunity.” Somehow we doubt that a “high-profile celebrity” would choose to out themselves on an A&E show in between Hoarders and Parking Wars when they could probably squeeze a People cover out of it, but there’s got to be a few forgotten ‘80s and ‘90s sitcom stars who could use the publicity.
