We all knew better than to expect much in the way of substance in the initial promos for Game Of Thrones season seven (remember Jon Snow’s bloody face in last season’s teaser poster?) but this initial teaser for the season, just released by HBO on Twitter, makes us take an awfully long walk. Set to what sounds like a cover of James’ “Sit Down,” the teaser’s even called “Long Walk,” and sets up the conflict between Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen. One interesting bit of information is that Daenerys is sitting in an unfamiliar throne room—which Watchers On The Wall revealed as the set of power in her ancestral home of Dragonstone back in November—implying that the final conflict between the major players may be coming sooner than we think.
Game Of Thrones returns to HBO on July 16.
