When Video Game God made the first pixel, he ("He," a.k.a. the turtle from those old Logo-based machines) probably had no idea it would multiply, mutate, and multiply again until suddenly—bam! Mega Man. But not content to let nature be what it will, illustrator Ty Lettau has taken it upon himself to mold characters from TV, film, modern games, and Harry Potter into little 8-bit monsters. And he did this 696 times. The collection is impressive not just for its scope, but also its accuracy—not counting glasses, because those are just hard to do.
