Lance Hunter
Who he is: Lance Hunter
His power: As an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Lance Hunter has no superpowers, but excels in weaponry and hand-to-hand combat.
His story: Prior to his first appearance on Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hunter served in the Special Air Services of the British military as a lieutenant. After leaving the service and becoming a mercenary for hire, he met S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Bobbi Morse and Alphonse “Mack” Mackenzie while on assignment in Dubai. Morse and Hunter fell in love and got married, but eventually separated due to trust issues. After a subsequent mission on the S.H.I.E.L.D payroll ended, Phil Coulson offered Hunter a spot on his team. Soon thereafter, Morse also returned and joined the team, revealing that Hunter was there on her recommendation. He helped the team through several major battles, including a lengthy hunt for Grant Ward, during which he and Bobbi got back together. However, after a mission to infiltrate a Soviet base got them captured, Morse and Hunter were forced to cut ties with S.H.I.E.L.D. and be officially disavowed by the agency. (It was a great episode, but a bummer for the series.)
Played by: Nick Blood
Currently, Lance Hunter is: At large, accompanied by Bobbi Morse.
Where will we see him next? Unknown, but it’s not outside the realm of possibility he would return to Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
