Showtime finally solves the mystery of Twin Peaks’ premiere date
The owls will be flying and the door to the Black Lodge will open on May 21.
That’s what Showtime CEO David Nevins said in a presentation at the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles today. The A.V. Club had an agent on the scene, who can confirm that the premiere of Twin Peaks’ third season will be two hours in length, Showtime streaming subscribers will have early access to the third and fourth episodes, and the third season of Twin Peaks will consist of 18 hours of pie-eating, coffee-swilling, Lynchian fun. Set your DVRs accordingly, and start planning your premiere parties now.
