Tracy Morgan now in fair condition
Tracy Morgan is no longer in critical condition, 10 days after the highway crash that left him and two others seriously injured, and claimed the life of comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair. “Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement,” Morgan’s spokesperson, Lewis Kay, said in a statement. “His personality is certainly starting to come back as well.” Morgan is still expected to remain hospitalized for several more weeks, recovering from surgery to repair his broken leg, as well as a broken nose and several broken ribs. Morgan’s assistant, Jeff Millea, also had his condition upgraded to fair. Comedian Ardie Fuqua remains in critical condition.
Kevin Roper, driver of the Wal-Mart truck that crashed into the limousine bus carrying Morgan and others, recently pled not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and driving recklessly resulting in bodily injury, and is currently out on bail. A hearing date has not yet been set.
