Zack Snyder finally reveals what the Batmobile's ass will look like
Throughout, the build to Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel 2: Black Velvet And That Little Boy’s Smile, Black Velvet And That Slow Batman Style has mostly been filled with distracting casting announcements for additional DC superheroes. But today the director has finally gotten down to brass tacks and shown us the Batmobile’s ass. “Could be time to pull the tarp… Tomorrow?” Snyder tweeted alongside a photo of the new Batmobile’s rear end—possibly referring to the canvas tarp that shrouds the far-less-interesting part of a car, but most likely to the Troubled Asset Relief Program, indicative of the staunch fiscal conservative message of Snyder’s Batman/Superman film.
Those given to analyzing such things have already noted that the distinctly car-like shape suggests the new Batmobile will be more shaped like a car, as opposed to the tank-like Tumbler of Christopher Nolan’s films. Still, its large wheels, when combined with the elongated shape and fin-shaped spoiler, seem to split the difference between those movies and the flashier Batmobiles seen in the ’90s. These are certainly things to argue about right now.
It’s also believed, but as yet unconfirmed, that this new, Ben Affleck-driven Batmobile has a really sweet tape deck, with the cassingle for Aerosmith’s “Love In An Elevator” permanently stuck in it.
