ABC developing drama based on the fictional character created by the fictional character in Castle

ABC is developing a new show based on the fictional character created by the fictional character in Castle. Entertainment Weekly reports that the network is in the “very early stages” of developing Derrick Storm, a drama based on the books Nathan Fillion’s Richard Castle writes on the show that bears his fictional name. As Castle fans know, Castle’s books about Storm are hits in the show’s fictional universe, with titles like A Brewing Storm, A Raging Storm, and A Bloody Storm detailing the CIA operative’s dubious exploits.

The CIA procedural drama is being written by Missing’s Greg Poirier, who will also executive produce alongside Castle’s Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller.
