THE MAN is an auteur film about one man's love for humanity. It is based on the life of a great sage Shmuel Aurbach, who has passed away in 2018. For the first time in the history of film, the ultra-religious world of orthodox Jews opens to the professional camera. The audience will see the human face of Judaism and meet the people who exemplify the wisdom, thought and faith of Jews today. This film is an artistic compilation of interview fragments given by people who have known Rabbi Auerbach as well as those who have never met him. They all answer the following questions: Why does the contemporary world need the righteous?, How does their presence influence the universe?, What is 'righteousness' for people of today?, Do religions unite or separate people?
