Synopsis
Being Transgender or gender-diverse comes with a unique set of personal and societal obstacles to overcome. In this subject-driven docuseries, "True to Life" takes a personal and intimate look into the often complicated lives of trans and gender-diverse people trying to live and thrive while being their authentic selves. Each episode explores the life of one person and is told through their eyes. The subjects throughout the series come from a variety of social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds further expanding the diverse experiences each face throughout their lives. This diversity throughout the series gives us greater insight into how each trans-life differs in comparison. In addition to the unique challenges faced by each subject, the series reveals many universal challenges trans and non-binary people face as a whole.
