Seth Rogen is trying to reason with Donald Trump Jr. on Twitter

As we all know, the global situation is pretty dire out there, judging from the transcript of Trump’s shitshow of a press conference this morning. We all want to do something to help prevent any possible world disasters, but most of us are not elected officials—as the elected officials, confoundingly, keep making boneheaded moves like loosening gun control restrictions, or voting against demanding the current president’s tax returns.

So maybe it’s time for the rest of us to think outside the box a little bit. For example, comedian and actor Seth Rogen noticed that Donald Trump Jr. followed him on Twitter and decided to take advantage of this somewhat straightforward line of communication. First, he just sent Donald Jr. a direct tweet:

Then, going past Twitter’s 140-character restraints, Rogen ventured into the longer, direct message category:

Listen to Seth, Donald Trump Jr.! As he said, the “majority of the world would be pretty psyched” if your dad resigned. And you don’t want to die either, right?

Rogen then followed up a little while later by asking Don Jr. to ask his dad to push numbskull House Oversight Committee Chair Jason Chaffetz to investigate Michael Flynn’s ties to Russia.

Sure, none of these efforts are likely to pan out, but Rogen’s attempt still seems better than just screaming at your computer screen like the rest of us are doing.
