Life has become a veritable hell for Mammali, a poor barber in a remote village in Kerala and his daughter in law, Shareefa. It's after his son, Anwar joined IS and was killed while fighting for them, life went topsyturvy for Mammali and Shareefa. Life is not going to be the one they had been used to. Daily visits to the police station, harassment by law enforcers, rejection by friends and relatives, social boycott...- their life has completely changed its course. Actully they are two hapless victims ensnared in the vicious net set by communalism.
