Synopsis
Bondi beach, internationally famous for fun in the sun by day and trendy exclusive parties by night attracts famous models, film stars, millionaires and anyone who wants to be somebody. But underneath the glamorous façade lies a darker side - drugs, prostitution and mafia turf wars for control of this lucrative inner city beach area. We meet Marcus Goldman, self-made media tycoon, whose global companies have made him a fortune. Marcus has come up with an idea to make a real life documentary of innocence to degradation. This will require the help of long-term associate and mafia drug capo Victor, who likes to think he controls all the racketeering at Bondi beach. Samantha White, an innocent and beautiful suburban girl, has come to the big city to follow her dream of becoming a journalist. Now at journalism school and supporting herself with modeling work, Sam has a stroke of luck when she picks up some work for Goldman Enterprises. She thinks this is her big break but Sam is just what Marcus is looking for and and gives Sam the opportunity for a journalistic scoop: he sets her up to do a feature profile of Victor, whose front is Personality Restaurant Owner and entrepreneur. Hugo Smith, award winning documentary maker, whom Marcus has hired to secretly film Sams Journey. Against his better judgment Smith accepts the assignment and documents Sams life beginning to unravel as she is hypnotically drawn into this alternate world of endless parties and drugs, and its not long before she is hooked on cocaine and the fast lifestyle. Victor takes a liking to Sam, and she becomes privy to more then she should. Its then she meets Victors boss Ivan, his sidekick bodyguard and ex triad femme fatale Kwan. People around Sam start dying in mysterious circumstances, but when she witnesses Victor being murdered she has learned too much, and knows that she will be the next victim. Innocent no more, Sam has the fight of her life to survive. Six months later Russian-American reporter Natasha is making a documentary on the various mafias around the world. Natasha has heard that the mafia hands reach even as far as Bondi beach, and has come to investigate. Through a series of revelations we learn the real story of what has happened: Smith in good conscience handed his tapes to the Federal Police. Andy, one of Victors drug runners has been framed for Victors murder, Smiths tapes have been suppressed by the federal courts, Samantha White has mysteriously disappeared, and Marcus Goldman has left the country. Big questions are being asked. How far up the government ladder does this go? What is the cover up all about? Natasha is just about to uncover the final clue when she sees in the shadows... is it? Yes. Ivan and Kwan.
