MrBeast didn't even show up to his own $1,000 fan experience

Every fandom gets the Fyre Fest it deserves. First there was DashCon and now, Gen Z YouTube obsessives have The MrBeast Experience, a $1,000 dud that didn’t even have a fun ball pit to play in. No wonder they’re so pissed off.

According to The Independent, fans forked over $1,000 apiece to attend Las Vegas’ “The MrBeast Experience,” which was advertised as an “unforgettable” weekend including meet-and-greets, exclusive merch, mini games, a $10,000 voucher for one surprise guest, and a three night stay at the expensive Resorts World hotel in Las Vegas.

Well, they got the stay, but that’s pretty much it. In fact, it sounds like fans got more out of that hotel room than they ever wanted in the first place. “I was told to wait in my room for two days for a package to come, so I legit spent two days in my room for a package to come, and it was a box of chocolates,” one attendee told the outlet. There was merch included as well, but hardly the “exclusive” gifts that MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson) had promised. “It had kids’ shorts, an extra small shirt, a hat, and a medium shirt,” she said. “If you go to MrBeast’s store to their merchandise right now, all this stuff is on clearance for $9. We were told we’d get exclusive merch. Obviously, that’s not the case.” MrBeast himself, as you’ve probably already guessed by this point, never showed up.

A broadcast from Las Vegas’ 8 News Now shows a group of disgruntled fans taking their grievances all the way to the resort’s CEO, Alex Dixon. “When I go to the Tom Brady experience in Boston, Tom Brady’s there,” the mother of one disappointed child complained. “These kids, these young adults, these influencers, they wanted to see Jimmy.” Guests also complained about the high prices in the resort, with one frustrated guest claiming she’d spent $63 on a cocktail, and the hotel’s $50 compensation voucher would only be enough for a single drink.

MrBeast did respond to the lack-of-experience on X, writing: “This definitely isn’t the experience we hoped they’d deliver. My team’s already on it—I’d love to personally make it up to you and anyone else by inviting everybody affected to tour my actual studio! Can’t wait to meet you all and my team is reaching out to everyone :D” Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, but for now, it may be best to avoid anything advertised with the word “experience” altogether. (Remember what happened to poor Willy Wonka.) “They gave us an experience, alright,” one disappointed MrBeast fan commented. “A real bad one.”
