The first two Netflix Houses are launching at the King Of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas in Texas in late 2025. A third location is planned for the Las Vegas strip in 2027. “Finally, a place where the Netflix story you can’t get enough of becomes something real that you can play, shop, and taste,” Marian Lee, Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer, says in a statement via Tudum. (Finally!) “This is fandom coming to life, where you can actually step inside the worlds you’ve been watching and loving for years—whether going on an epic adventure with the Straw Hats, taking a journey into Hawkins, Indiana, or grabbing a cocktail inspired by your latest obsession. With fresh experiences dropping regularly, there’s always a new reason to come back. We are thrilled to welcome our new neighbors in Philadelphia, Dallas, and Las Vegas to explore Netflix in a whole new light, enhanced by the unique charm and culture of each city.”
The Philly location will launch with rooms inspired by Wednesday and One Piece, while the Dallas location is going with Stranger Things and Squid Game. Dallas will also have something called Netflix RePLAY, which is billed as better than an arcade. Philly gets a minigolf course, a VR Games room, and the TUDUM Theater where you can “Catch Netflix shows, movies, and fan events on the big screen with all your friends, as well as trivia nights, dine-ins, and special talent appearances.” (Having its own branded theater is an interesting addition for a company that consistently downplays and even undermines the theatrical experience.) Both houses will also feature NETFLIX BITES, “a casual restaurant with food and craft cocktails playing on popular Netflix stories and characters, as well as a shop featuring exclusive merch that will update regularly.”
Maybe the phantasmagoria of the Netflix House will revive the longstanding relationship between American teens and shopping malls. (With Netflix partnering with Sesame Street, and Sesame Place not far from King Of Prussia Mall, you could argue that the streamer is gaining a real stronghold in the area.) Regardless, it’s another move to make the intangible digital sphere tangible, like how Amazon has expanded its brick-and-mortar presence over the last decade. Everything that’s old becomes new again eventually!
